Co-Organizers for Teams Meetings

Co-Organizers for Teams Meetings

Let's say you have a teams meeting that you created monthly on repeat. Or you have a single meeting that you've created weeks out in advance. However, one of those meetings, you're not able to make it to, thanks to some PTO that you're using. Instead of canceling that meeting that others use, you can make another person a "co-organizer". That way, the meeting can still run without you having to launch the meeting and being present.

In order to do this, go to your teams meeting calendar and click on the meeting you would like to edit. The "Edit" button should pop up for you once you hover over the meeting. Click on it to proceed.

Click on the little dots towards the top, then click on "Meeting Options".

This will cause a tab to open up in your browser. You can make other changes here to your meeting but for this specific change, we're looking for the "Co-organizers" section. Click the bar on the right, type in the name of the person you would like to make a co-organizer, then scroll down to the bottom and click on "Save".

That person can now run the meeting with the same permissions that you, the host, has.
