Keeper Security Password Manager: Getting Started Guide

Hello Team,

To help protect your accounts and simplify password management, we’re rolling out Keeper Security Password Manager to selected staff. This guide will walk you through the basics of using Keeper via the web portal and the browser extension.


What is Keeper?

Keeper is a secure, cloud-based password manager that helps you:

  • Store and auto-fill complex passwords
  • Access passwords from anywhere
  • Share credentials securely (when authorized)

Step 1: Accessing Keeper Web Portal

  1. Go to the Keeper login page:
    https://keepersecurity.com/vault
  2. Log in with your work email
    You may be prompted to use SSO (Single Sign-On).
  3. You’ll now be in your Vault
    This is where all your saved logins, credentials, and secure notes live.

Using the Keeper Web Portal

Here are a few things you can do from the Vault:

  • Add a New Record (login credentials or other account information):
    Click “+ Create New” > “Record”
    Enter the site name, username, password, and URL.
  • Edit or View a Record:
    Click the record name to view or edit details.
  • Generate a Strong Password:
    When creating a new login, click the key icon to auto-generate a strong password.
  • Share Credentials:
    You can securely share credentials with other keeper users (if your role allows it).
  • Search:
    Use the search bar at the top to find a record quickly.

Step 2: Installing the Keeper Browser Extension

To make Keeper even easier to use, we recommend installing the Keeper browser extension:

Using the Keeper Browser Extension

  1. Log in to the extension with your Keeper account (SSO or master password).
  2. Once logged in, you’ll see the Keeper vault logo in your browser bar.
  3. Navigate to a website — Keeper will:
    • Auto-fill your login if saved
    • Prompt to save new passwords
    • Suggest strong passwords when creating accounts

✅ Quick Actions:

  • Click the Keeper icon to search for logins
  • Use the Generate Password tool when signing up for services
  • Access your full vault from the extension dropdown
